Thursday, 9/19: Students take the Unit Pre-Test on Schoology; then discuss. Then, students watch this video on the 13 Colonies.
Friday: Students complete the the 13 colonies video from yesterday and then watch two more videos (this one on John Smith and Jamestown and this one on the Mayflower) and take 10 more notes with citations.
Monday, 9/23: Completed taking a total of 20 notes on films.
Tuesday: Students read the Smith and Bradford pieces above and answer the questions on schoology.
Wednesday: Quiz on Smith and Bradford. The makeup for kids who were absent is a formal paragraph answering the question, who was a better leader, Smith or Bradford? The paragraph is due Friday by midnight and must be submitted on schoology.
Thursday: Begin Anne Bradstreet poems questions working in pairs. Complete "To My Dear and Loving Husband" questions by tomorrow.
Friday: Complete the Anne Bradstreet "Upon the Burning of Our House" questions in pairs.
Monday, 9/30: One-day graded discussion on AB poems. Students must have 7 points by the end of the day; students who are absent may write a formal paragraph answering the question, how are Bradstreet's poems typical of Puritans? Submit the paragraph on schoology.
