Wednesday, 8/20: Brief tour of the website. Then, assigned Sci Fi Pre Test on Schoology. Due tomorrow before the beginning of class.

Thursday: Watch Ariana Grande , David Bowie, and Alabama Shakes sci fi music videos. Then discuss Pre test and 3 music videos.

 Friday: Assigned La Voyage Dans La Lune. Watch the film and answer the questions on schoology.​

Then, watch Tonight, Tonight and count the allusions.

Monday, 8/25: Assigned, A Martian Odyssey by Stanley G. Weinbaum. The story is to be read by tomorrow. If you prefer to have it read to, then check out this version.

Tuesday: Completed reading "A Martian Odyssey."

 

Wednesday: All-class graded discussion on A Martian Odyssey. We will discuss the same questions with every story; they are listed above. Students who are absent will submit a paragraph on schoology answering the following question: what is the theme?

Thursday: Start reading Frankenstein (selections).  

Friday: complete Frankenstein selections and answer story questions.

Tuesday, 9/2: Written quiz on Frankenstein, then informal discussion. Kids that missed the quiz must write a formal paragraph answering one of the study questions for Frankenstein. Submit for the quiz on schoology.

Wednesday:  Assigned a  Block Letter.  inspired by the unit.

Thursday: Choose the best letter.​ Then, switched to the Golden Age.

Friday: Switched to the Golden Age.
