Monday, 11/10: Group quiz on "Let the Children Boogie." Students who miss the quiz should write a formal expository paragraph on the most important theme of the story before class tomorrow.

Wed: Read "A Series of Steaks," and answer the story questions. Announcement: By Monday, you must have a sci fi novel of your choice that you want to read but have never read before. The novel can be online or printed.

Thursday: Quiz on "A Series of Steaks." The quiz was written and graded discussion. Kids who miss the quiz should write a formal paragraph on the theme of the story. The makeup is due before class tomorrow.

Friday: Illustrate a scene from anything we have read this year. You must include the title of the work, the writer's name, and a quote on the illustration.
