Character Sketches

March 9: Complete new reading schedule. 

Tuesday: Free write # 3. People You Know. In this FW, describe at least one person you know well. I suggest you choose someone unique. Describe him/her physically and personally. Describe the essence of this person in detail. You may describe more than one person if you choose. Assigned Character Sketch.

Wed: Complete a draft of the Character Sketch.

Thur: Peer editing.

Friday: Redraft.

Monday, March 16: Publish, read aloud character sketch/donut party!

"Shut Down Schedule:" students will complete their second book of choice on the reading schedule. You will submit your schedule when you return. Students will complete DW 4: 2nd Book of Choice. 1. Title? 2. Genre? 3. Year of publication? 4. Setting ? 5. In 5 sentences or less, describe the plot including protagonist and antagonist. 6. For whom would you recommend this book? 7. How does this book compare to the first one you read?

Students will also continue adding words to their word bank (you should have 50 by April 1). 

Students will complete Free Writes 4-7 in their journals. Topics of choice.
