Hello and welcome to the last weekly recap for the month of July!
Jesse Hattrup took both the Boys 14's singles and doubles titles at the Webster Groves tournament this past weekend, knocking off the one seed in the first round in singles and partnering with Michael Karibian for the doubles title. Way to go Jesse, and congratulations to Michael for continuing a summer of outstanding doubles play!
In less relevant news, ETA coaches Kirk and Emily won the St. Louis District Championship in Mixed Doubles this past weekend, marking the second time they've won the tournament in 3 years (and their fourth tournament win together all-time, not that certain roundup-ers are counting). Hooray for them still playing tennis in their old age!
The big news of the week is that the wildcard for the Edwardsville Futures Qualifying tournament begins Aug. 1, kicking off nearly two weeks of exceptional tennis at Edwardsville High School! Come on by!
