After a week's hiatus, we're back! It's the roundup for the last two weeks of summer tennis!
Starting with JTT play, the 10U team (pictured) finished a fantastic season, going undefeated for the entire year. Way to go kids! You're making the future look bright.
The 18U Gold team has had a successful year as well, going undefeated in the regular season and advancing to Districts, held tonight at Frontenac Racket Club. Win or lose, the team has already qualified for Missouri Valley Sectionals. Next week the team will be in Tulsa, playing teams from the entire Missouri Valley region such as Iowa, Oklahoma, Kansas City, and more. It's the first time an Edwardsville JTT team has ever advanced to Sectionals.
In tournament recaps, Jesse Hattrup took 1st place in Boys' 12 Singles at the Webster Open over the 4th of July weekend. This past weekend at the O'Fallon Junior Open, Colton Hulme placed 1st in the Boys' 14 Singles, while Jade Dynamic took 4th. Hannah Colbert was 3rd in the Girls' 18 Singles.
