For the second straight week in a row, the middle school boys shined at an USTA tournament.
At the Lancer Jr. Open, Jesse Hattrup took home the Boys' 12 Singles title. In Boys' 14's, Michael Karibian placed fourth and Jade Dynamic took fifth. Dynamic and Karibian then teamed up for the 14's doubles title, Michael's 2nd doubles title in as many weeks. Congratulations guys!
On the Girls' side, Chloe Trimpe and Gabby Regalado took first and second in the 18's flight. Great weekend ladies!
The Edwardsville 10U Smashers Event was a huge success! Thanks to all the families that came out for a fun day of tennis, and the St. Louis district for helping put on a great day of play for young players. Brandon Wong, last week's Tiger Tennis Camper of the Week, went undefeated in 10U Orange Ball, capping off a great week of tennis. Way to go, Brandon! Enjoy that Annie's--you've earned it!
JTT 18U, 12U, and 10U all won their matches last week, continuing stellar seasons. The 10U team officially went undefeated in the entire regular season. Nice one kids! 18U remains undefeated, coming up on the toughest part of their schedule against some good teams. Last but not least, the 12U team pulled out a narrow 24-22 victory on Wednesday, proving that every game counts. Nice job to all involved! Our JTT teams continue to look forward to St. Louis Districts, held July 15-17.
